Driver's License for All

On March 7, 2023, Governor Tim Walz signed the Driver's License for All law. This law will allow undocumented immigrants to obtain a driver's license in the state of Minnesota. This law came into effect on October 1, 2023.
Health Insurance for All

The state legislature passed a health care bill that allows undocumented Minnesotans who meet income eligibility requirements to access MinnesotaCare, the state's health insurance for low-income individuals and families. Unfortunately, in June 2025, according to SSHF1, “non-citizens (undocumented immigrants) over the age of 18 who are enrolled in MinnesotaCare (the state health insurance program for low-income individuals) will no longer be eligible after December 31, 2025. It is an achievement we are still proud of, as we demonstrated values ​​of inclusion, compassion, and resilience in our state.

A local victory that we are really proud of is these agreements, which sets forth the rights and responsibilities of community members and the Sheriff's/police departments. The purpose of this agreement is for our community to have confidence and communication with public safety.​
Minnesota Safe Workplaces for Meat and Poultry Processing Workers Act

Minnesota safe workplaces for meat and poultry processing workers act: creates a brand new “workers’ rights coordinator”, prevents COVID-19 outbreaks, raises training standards, equity-centered worker protections.
Minnesota’s earned sick and safe time (ESST)

law effective Jan. 1, 2024. Employers must provide each employee in Minnesota at least one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued ESST a year.
